Dear Reader,
In the next few weeks, you will read more about the Boss Girl Brigade (BGB) origin story and some of the amazing humans behind the scenes.
But for now, let’s discuss the basics.
First, who are the Boss Girls?
Please note that these are just a few of the ways to describe the Boss Girls.
We are way too spectacular and amazing to be able to fit all of our attributes in one piece of writing.
Boss Girls
use the pronouns she/her or they/them or any version that they choose. (simply put, as long as your gender isn’t male, you’re welcome)
lift others up-never down
don’t start unnecessary drama
redirect others to avoid unnecessary drama
rise above the partisan games we see in today’s politics and are willing to reach across the aisles to get shit done
get into good trouble for causes they believe in: think reproductive freedom, support for public education, and defeating the Moms for Liberty and American for Prosperity groups
listen to gain understanding
learn from others
are curious and willing to ask questions
will change this broken world we all find ourselves in
Now that we know who the Boss Girls are, what is the Brigade?
The Brigade
holds virtual and in person events
builds community
supports each other
cries and laughs with each other
helps the other Boss Girls achieve their goals
is a safe space to take the professional masks off-let hair down-relax and unwind in trusted spaces
The BGB doesn’t take score with others. What we do and how we help others isn’t transactional for us. If we help with a cause or a candidate we believe in, it’s because we want to. Not for favors down the road.
The BGB doesn’t believe in going through life alone.
We are multi-generational aunt figures in our families and towns.
We are the helpers. The doers.
The connectors. The event planners.
The data entry people. The graphic designers.
The candidates and elected officials.
The people of our towns, cities, and suburbs.
Whether we gave birth to kids or not is irrelevant.
We all just want the future generations set up for success.

So where do you fit in?
Well, if you live near Kansas, we’d love to see you in person.
For community events. For fun. For candidate help. For whatever.
If you don’t live near us, you’re still welcome to join us. There will be a virtual component to the BGB because we are all in this together. Period.
So while we are building this from the ground up, we’d love for you to join us. Email me at ginnykrumme@gmail.com for more information. Find me on Facebook at Ginny Krumme. Reach out. Let’s work together.
If you’ve made it this far, it means you’re intrigued by what you’re reading. Take the next step and reach out. There are many amazing Boss Girls that are ready to work with you!!!
Sending you BGB Virtual Hugs,
Ginny
